LIPS
As we age lips tend to lose their colour and fullness while the natural border diminishes. Permanent makeup lip colouring can restore faded lips to their youthful appearance, redefine your natural lip border and correct inherent asymmetries. The most natural result can be achieved with the ‘full lip’ technique as opposed to the lipline only or ‘lipline and blend’ that has been used extensively in the past. OTHER PROCEDURES
PARAMEDICAL
Other procedures include nipple and areola repigmentation following mastectomy, scar camouflage, micro-hair simulation for hair loss irregularities due to injury, surgery, alopecia or trichotillomania, vitiligo re-pigmentation and cleft palate restoration following reconstructive surgery to balance the lip shape.
CORRECTION WORK
There are various methods used to greatly improve poorly performed permanent makeup or semi permanent makeup. Unnatural colours can be returned to a more pleasing colour using corrective pigments. There are also professional treatments utilizing inorganic chemical remover or saline products to lighten existing unattractive makeup but they are not suitable for removing permanent eyeliners. Expectations must be realistic as results often cannot be as perfect as new cosmetic tattoo enhancements. However, depending on the degree of correction required, Laser Tattoo Removal may be the best option. Pre-procedural consultations are advised to ascertain suitability and recommend the most appropriate removal technique.
PRE-PROCEDURE ADVICE
Eyeliner treatment -Contact lenses should not be worn for at least 24 hours post procedure so you are best advised to bring along your glasses to wear afterwards. Eyelash extensions, eyelash perms and tints should be avoided for at least one week prior and two weeks post procedure.
Lip treatments- Herpes/Cold sore sufferers need to minimise the possibility of an outbreak following the procedure by using oral and topical Zovirax products and the like prior to and after any lip tattoo.
